Mike Kane is an award-winning documentary and portrait photographer in Seattle, with roots in photojournalism and visual storytelling. After a good run as a newspaper staffer, Mike became a freelancer and now works with a range of editorial, commercial, and corporate clients. His pictures have been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, Society for Professional Journalists, Society for Features Journalism, Pictures of the Year International, Hearst Newspapers Journalism Fellowship, Nieman Foundation at Harvard, Poynter Institute, Duke Center for Documentary Studies, and nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
